Jugged Hare

Jugged Hare

The Jugged Hare’s open season kicks off with our eponymous 18th century dish, jugged hare.

Wild British hare returns to our menus following the six-month ban on hunting which allows the animals to breed.

Why not enjoy a pint of Jugged Hare pale ale when ordering jugged hare from the menu. Cooked in its own blood and served in a traditional tall earthenware jug, the slow-braised hare meat is one of the finest examples of this under-used game meat you will find in the capital.
